Motorhead Live, Feb-03-1988, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada

It was 1988, I was in high school, & Alice Cooper was coming to town with Motorhead supporting.... (get the Alice Cooper set here)
Holy exciting!
I smuggled my Sony cassette recorder into the show in the sleeve of my jean jacket and recorded the show with it in my front chest pocket.
Guess what? It sounds just like it was recorded on a walkman in the pocket of a jean jacket. Hahaha!
It is what it is, but it's mine; and now I'm sharing it.

get the show

I was at this show! Memorial Stadium 1988! Alice Cooper headlined and slit a prostitute's throat during "Chop Chop Chop" while Kane Roberts played his machine gun guitar.

At the end of the show he did the hanging not the guillotine which was really cool.

The Newfie "rock" audience was pretty lame during Motorhead's set. Also somebody went horribly off-key during Dr. Rock, "I got the medicine you need... BWAAANNG!! Ugh.

Great show though.

Thanks so much for this!

Wish I was there. Bands that make the effort to rock St. John's get extra credit.

I don't remember a thing about the Alice Cooper set because I stood about 20 feet from the wall of speakers on the left side of the stage during the Motorhead set. My ears didn't stand a chance but what a hell of an experience for a 14 year old! I don't know how I stumbled here tonight but I'm glad I did. Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to listen to that Alice Cooper set for the first time! Ha Ha!

Some people stalk my blog.
I like that about them. :-)
You should too.
